This policy covers this Deepwake Studios website. It does not cover the separate processing performed by game platforms or within our games.

2. Hosting and server access

The website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit, your browser transmits technical data needed to deliver the website: your IP address, date and time, requested address, response status, data volume, browser and operating system information, and the referring page if transmitted. STRATO may record these data in server logs.

Processing serves reliable delivery, troubleshooting and protection against misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure and functioning website. STRATO acts as a hosting processor. Access data are retained only as long as necessary for these purposes under the hosting configuration; data relating to a specific security incident may be retained until the incident has been resolved or relevant claims clarified.

3. Cookies, language and local resources

The website code does not set cookies or use browser storage. The language switch opens the corresponding English or German page; it does not store a preference on your device. We do not integrate analytics, advertising pixels, social media widgets or embedded videos. Images, fonts, styles and scripts are served from our own webspace. Viewing a project image does not contact Steam.

4. Contact by email and post

If you contact us, we process your contact details, message and any information you provide to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our interest in responding to enquiries. Providing information is voluntary; without sufficient contact details we may not be able to respond.

Communication is processed by the email or postal service providers involved in delivery. The postal address uses the POSTFLEX address service, which may receive correspondence addressed to us. We delete enquiries once they have been conclusively dealt with unless retention is necessary for legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Where statutory retention duties apply, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR is the legal basis and the relevant statutory period determines retention.

5. External links

Steam, X, POSTFLEX and other external pages are linked, not embedded. Following a link opens the provider’s website, where its own privacy terms apply. External providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. The links use a no-referrer setting so this website does not send a referring-page address when you follow them.

6. Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Right to object: where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation under Article 21 GDPR.

Please contact contact@deepwakestudios.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement (Article 77 GDPR).

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling on this website. We update this policy when website functions or the relevant processing change.
